5 Easy and Inexpensive Gifts

The holidays bring joy, cheer, gatherings with family and friends, tokens of thanks for teachers and stress. The holidays bring stress. Try as I might, sometimes coming up with budget friendly gifts leaves me feeling like a Grinch.

To let your heart grow three sizes this day, I have 5 easy and inexpensive gift ideas. Hostess gifts, teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, “Oh, we’re exchanging gifts?” gifts; these will hit the mark. There is just enough touch of home made to feel special, but not so much that you feel bogged down with tasks.

Bonus: These gifts can be assembled in advance.

Spiced Apple Cider Mix

Get a few cute lidded jars (Dollar Tree) and fill them with this homemade Spiced Cider Mix from Don’t Sweat the Recipe and tie the jars with a ribbon. Boom, your done. Adding a jug of apple cider is a bonus touch so the recipient can enjoy the mix straight away.

Get extra fancy by painting the lid with some of the left over chalkboard paint from previous projects and write the serving suggestion on the top.

This simple and delicious gift keeps giving, especially on chilly days.

Treat Jar for the Fur Babies

How do you show people with a lot of food allergies or restrictions love? Love on their fur babies. This cute Dollar Store jar was filled with Sweet Potato Fries that I purchased from the pet store. Simple but still a thoughtful gift.

Dried sweet potato slices are a guaranteed gift to get the dog’s tail wagging.

Pie Night!

A cute pie themed dish towel and a pie server make a great hostess gift for pie night. Tie it up with an adorable ribbon and you have a winner. There are never enough pie servers when desserts are dished out; this gift is a problem solver in so many ways. The only thing more practical for Pie Night would be stretchy pants. Don’t judge, I like pie.

This gift is easy as pie to pull together.

Season’s Greetings

These adorable mini mouth canning jars could not be passed up. The 4 ounces of cuteness are perfect to hold your favorite meat rub. The seasoning mix was purchased at the store in a larger container and dispersed into multiple jars for gifts, so easy. Sometimes it’s nice to receive something that is not sweet during the holidays.

Metallic markers from the chalkboard pumpkin projects were used to make a few gift tags that were later tied on with hemp cording.

A welcome reprieve from holiday sweets, this adorable spice jar adds a kick of fun to the usual gift giving.

One Smart Cookie

First, make your favorite cookie dough. Next, wrap it into a log shape in parchment paper and tie the ends with festive baker’s twine. Finally, write the baking instructions on the side and freeze. When you’re ready to give your gift, just pull it out of the freezer and share the joy.

Cookie Dough rolled up and ready for a quick moment of baking. A gift sure to please anyone.

Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze! I can hear them down in Whoville now. Congratulations on spreading some holiday cheer while avoiding going full blown Grinch. Having less stress during busy times in your life is always a good thing. While these gifts are not DIYs for fixing up your home, they are still vital to setting the tone by creating a more harmonious holiday within it’s walls. May you not only live in your home, may you love in your home.πŸ’™
